Google has released its first Web Browser, and as I'm using it now, it's AMAZING. Since Firefox 3 is kind of stupid i.e. badly coded.

Go HERE to give it a whirl!!!

Greetz!

Using Chrome now... and its fantastic... sorry but Firefox has always been a pretender in my eyes... its never matched Opera which has been my choice of browser since waaaay back when it was version 4 and you had to pay for it. And I did pay for it because it was worth the tiny amount of money to stop using IE...

Firefox 3 is the first version of the browser I'd consider using... Firefox 1/2 were just a run up lacking (in my eyes) basic things I took for granted in Opera... but 3 is still behind Opera.

Now chrome....

Its a browser. Its clean, quick and efficient. Its like Opera was a few years back before bloat started to creep in. There's no massive header area filled with links, buttons and random crap you rarely use... there's the tab bar, address bar, back, forward etc. What else do you need?

Its got the speed dial style tab page that Opera has, the quick search all in one address bar that Opera introduced (and Firefox added almost immediately), just the options you need....

Personally I'm considering ditching Opera for Chrome... the only thing thats stopping me right now is the fact that Opera is also an amazing mail client...

Unfortunately I can't seem to get it to connect to websites, nor to localhost for that matter. It's not being blocked by my firewall or any other program that I can see but churns out 104 errors when I try to connect

I like the look of it, nice, simple and streamlined though I'd prefer a slightly darker colour

There is one thing keeping me from switching to Chrome entirely: Mouse Gestures. Using Opera, I've gotten so used to them that I wouldn't be able to go without them even if I wanted to.

I still pretty satisfied with IE, specially after they stole the tabs from Firefox

IE FTW! I usually only use other browsers when somethings not working with IE. I really havent found any problems with IE that would make me want to use another browser.

I hope you don't care Chrome will be sending private data to google.
Because that is what google is always trying to archive.

Mostertman, tabs were not invented by Firefox. And MS did not have to steal it specially from FireFox, it could have also been from the old aged but great Netscape or Opera.

Actually firefox stole a lot, and became mainstream, but not because they have invented anything.

While that may be true, I have no reason to distrust Google.

If you use any Google products (Earth, Desktop, YouTube, GMail) information is being sent to Google.

There is an option to turn that off in the settings, which is what I did.

Skiprat is a noob. He knows nothing about computers.

RHF and myself have tried hard to teach him the basics "what is a keyboard", "you mustn't roll your mouse on the screen" "keep your saliva inside your mouth" but it's useless.

eh, well.... Chrome has a LOT to fix before I use fully. #1, it's easy to crash(Including visiting a malicious site...) #2 It has a few vulnerabilities offering any hacker a full access to your computer... eMazing.

You sure that's not Vista?

Oh so far I definitely like it's simplicity and speed. Goober, nah, SP1 fixes most of those stupid bugs and such in Vista, the rest is dependent on if the Windows user is a dumbass enough to leave open certain network settings Vista Business though helps a bit with that in the network part.

But nah, it's something that can be executed when a user is using Chrome and is dumb enough to click on a link Still though, something that should be patched.

I definitely agree on liking Chrome though.

Ah and to crash Chrome, you can type in the address bar: :%

Once you just type it, it will automatically crash and ask to restart, lol.

So far aside from those issues its looking good. Ah goober, you probably remember the whining about XP when XP was released, the Win98se/Win2k users didn't want to make the switch using the same exact arguements I vowed though to only use Vista when SP1 was released, and so far I actually like it.
