Well, I'd "Enjoy " a game of Counter Strike: CZ but I suspect that the system specs are going to be way beyond my current PC's capabilities
I bet staff are "Enjoy "ing themselves cooking up another plot for infuriating tag lines on news posts as well as gloating at us poor mortals who cannot run the latest games.

Why not just go ahead and upgrade your PC? You been complaining about it for at least six months now. Just bite the bullet and do it.
BTW -
Enjoy! |

Foe:
A good point well put
Mainly it's because I'm a "fraidy-cat" when it comes to rooting around inside my 'puter. I read all about you guys wrenching out motherboards, plugging in new processors and such like, it all sounds really good and probably saves a bundle of cash. If I plug in something new or even install some new software and it doesn't work I tend to go WAAAHHH and panic And yet I'm only too happy to dis-assemble my bike to find out where that weird noise is coming from.

Twiddling with my PC makes me nervous as well. but I like to learn, and like to find things on my own. Sometimes you just gotta say WTH and stick your hands in the PC/BIOS, and get your feet wet.
Have all faith in your ability to do it. If I can anyone can. |

In what way is Foe "loaded"
Are you referring to monetary assets or something less salubrious?

I guess you're right Foe, cannot run and hide all the time. I'll have to have a word with my pal up North (has 3 PCs, one SunSPARC workstation and an Apple G4) and see if he'll let me have a "sacrificial" PC to learn on.
Soon I'll go from:

Foe and Splitter have several newish spec machines at home they say, so me and my several P166's, 3x PII 1x PIII, 1x Celeron, and 1x MIPS RaQ2 can't do much in the way of gaming.
I want a P4
But my bank balance denies me going and spending stupid money on a new machine. |

RHF - right, okay I seem to remember seeing some specs for Foe's new machine and it looked a goodie.
However,
I don't recall Splitter or Foe being the types who just sit around on their arses all day expecting to be given new PCs - nope, I'm sure they have jobs and earned the cash they laid out
Anyway, from what I read, buying a pre-assembled new machine is like throwing money away. Garner and Grim seem to build warp speed systems from scratch for a fraction of the price. (Although Grim has a strange fascination with building things up from scratch... old American cars, airplanes, PCs, himself, his opinions... )
I'm gonna find someone who is adept at building these things up from scratch, pay him/her some dosh and get me a quicker PC! |

I have a job, its just not earning me enough money to build a new pc, yes for the fraction of the money, but £300 is still a lot of money to put aside for a new PC.
So, it wont be happening anytime soon. |

Your still my hero! If you need any advice or tips, be happy to help. Or direct you to the person with the answers.
My PC is not as top of the line as Splitter's, Madcat's or Grim's, but I do okay. It is enough for me. Also I know how you men can be sometimes....the one who dies with the most toys, WINS!
McB is correct in that everything Splitter & I have, we both work/worked very hard to attain. |
