Quote Digital Illusions' Battlefield 1942 needs no introduction to readers of Shacknews. Released in September of 2002, the game became the game for many of you, earning its place alongside such multiplayer mainstays as Counter-Strike and Return to Castle Wolfenstein in a remarkably short period of time.
