The EVE Online server is currently down for the free update, EXODUS.

This free update for all players will go live at 12:00 GMT 24th November. Players can download the patch now (whilst the server is down... gotta do something to combat the withdrawal symptoms right? ) from the EVE Online website.

For new players or if the patch doesn't work ->Full Install (519Mb)

For existing players ->Patch Install (103Mb for 1754->2942)

Links to get the patch and full client are also available for BitTorrent on the Full Install page.

Even those of us playing on 56K have enough time to download this patch before it goes live on the server. Nice.

But I'm not downloading it.

ADSL gets installed tomorrow

Timing or what?

Can't remember the prices exactly...

$15 sign up and then $30 for a year subscription?

Is it really worth it? Might ask santa for it.

Not free, €15 per month. First month free. Game itself is free.

Thats about £10 a month in real money... or you get about 4.5 months play time for the same price as a normal game including the free month. Plus this expansion... every other company tries to grab another £20 for the expansion... CCP gave it out for free... so I figure 6.5 months of comparitve game time... I dont think I've ever played a game for that long... for at least 6 hours per day... 7 days a week...

Oh and Beat... I got the 103.9Mb patch in just over 15 minutes. Thought I'd rub it in

Yeah I knew I'd have to pay on a monthly basis, was just woundering if anyone could get the game for free now days (ie. I can give link to friends and they get the full working version of the game?)

So you think it's worth the 10£ a month for it?

Btw, as I've said I havent played the game yet (nor have a good enought putter for it yet) but what file(s) should I get?

If you've not installed it yet and have a decent connection grab the full install. The CD key you got when you bought the game will get you 30 days free. This version is a 'cd' version of the latest patch.

If you've already got it installed, go to the patches page and grab the one for the version you have.

The alternative is I can get you 7 days free. lol. As you've got a copy of the game that comes with 30 days... thats pointless

Nope not installed ether, so I gues I'll go for the full install then (my BS aint getting alot of connections now days anyway)

It's the
Quoting Midle of the web page
"Download Full Version:
EXODUS HTTP (519M      UK"

File that is here you mean right?

Btw, what does a CD version mean? I gota burn it on a cd?

PS. At the top of that page it says 30 days free.

If you don’t already own an EVE account (which is required to enter the world of EVE Online) you can create one here with 30 days of game time included.

I gues you think it's well worth the money then?

King... I've already told you what you asked for...

Download that file. Run it. Voila. You can play EVE for 30 days (using the CD key you got with the copy you bought...)
