Close Combat: First to Fight

IGN has had a sneak peek of this game for Xbox, and here is what they have to say:

-The Destineer-developed game is, in essence, a reverse Tom Clancy first-person shooter, in which you take the lead and your team is automatically trained to cover your six. Your four-man fire team regularly organizes in a Ready-Team-Fire-Assist formation covering all angles at all times while moving through the rough streets of Beirut.
-We only got a quick glimpse of the game, but the latest build is drastically better and more balanced that it was before. The streets are completely filled with enemies at all angles, so there is some breathing room to explore and progress. The game's framerate is a little smoother, and the game is actually stable this time too. It didn't crash on us more than once. (To be fair, they showed us a REALLY early version before.) The zoom lens function is only 2X this time, not four, giving you less distance, but a quicker time to get out of the lens to command team members or look around manually for enemy presence.
-The game is called Close Combat for a reason. These tightly knit streets have enemies packed into crevices and hidden behind corners, creating good tension, and also giving cause to your Marines' slow, careful movement. You'll clean out old apartments, alleyways, marketplaces, and similar close-quarter areas as part of your numerous missions.
-The rag-doll physics are quite satisfying. Oh yes, indeed. If you snipe an enemy in the head, he'll take the shot and fling backward with great force, crumpling into a ball of helpless flinching death. The team reacts to you, the team leader, interestingly. You never really have to pay much attention to them, but sometimes it's better for them to clear or grenade a room than for you to do it. So, by using the Dpad, you command them. You can also heal them by pointing the reticule at them and using the Dpad, too. They take orders and react to your skills. If you're really good, at the end of the level, their morale will be good, too, giving you more leadership points. If you don't do well, like for instance, you lose a guy, their morale will naturally decrease, giving you fewer points by the level's end.
-In short, the game is looking pretty dang good, and we have reason to believe now. Before, we were just kind of taking the developer's word on things, but now the build is actually coming together and it feels playable and fun. The key factor being fun. This could be quite a fun game online. Oh yes, indeed. We'll have more shortly.
