Nintendo has announced european release dates for two new Donkey Kong-games; Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat (Gamecube) and DK: King of Swing (GBA)
The world first got to know Nintendo's favourite monkey back in 1981, when he was the bad guy in the very popular platform-game Donkey Kong. He has since then been included in a lot of Nintendo-games over the years, and is widely regarded as one of the most beloved chracters from Nintendo. Here he is again, in two new games which will be released february 4th next year.
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat is a platform-game for GameCube, where Donkey Kong will have to find his way through the jungle. He will have to fight enormous monsters, find a lot of bananas, ride on parrots and take part in boxingmatches. The game is using the drumcontrollers from Donkey Konga (will also be released with it's own controllers, if you haven't got them from earlier), and you control the movements of the monkey by hitting the drums. The fact that you use the drums to control the game, makes for a very different gameplay compared to regular platformgames.
In the GBA-game DK: King of Swing, Donkey Kong and his friends will have to find some magical medallions which have been stolen by the evil King K. Rool. To be able to do this, they have to fight their way through a lot of different jungleareas, and at same time fight for the title "Hero of the jungle". The game will have elements from platform-games and "puzzle"-games, and will have a unique controlsystem where you will have to swing from tree to tree and gain speed to be able to travel over long distances. In addition, the game has a multiplayer modus, where four players can connnect their GBAs with linkcables. |

Wow, that sucks. I can't use my regular controller? DKC on snes is one of my favorite games of all time. DK64 was good too. So your saying if I want to continue to play DK games I have to get GC drums? Hmm... that's a bit too childish for me. It's a shame too, cause I was looking forward to a DK game. |
I have an itchy, irratable rash. It's RED. |

I own the donkey Konga that is out 4 GC now (which is a fun game) and u DO NOT have 2 use the congo controllers. u have the option 2 use the regular GC controller so maybe u can do that 4 the new donky kong games the new games that R coming out. |
