Hi all,

Sorry this is a Max Payne 1 modding question but I thought I'd put it here also as modding for MP 1 & 2 is very simular, & most MP2 modders used to mod for MP1.

Anyway here goes,

There's 2 problems that have bugged me during my time modding for Max Payne 1 that I wondered if somebody would be able to help me with.

The first problem is that on the odd occassion when I re-use a Dynamic Object from my prefab library, in a new room, I will sometimes get a warning message when I try & export my level LVL file saying that the objects Dynamic Children are outside all rooms even when the object has been grouped to, & is in the centre of the new room.

I can corrected this by lifting/ungrouping the Objects children, but why should I have to do this as it worked perfectly well as it was before in it's original room.

An example of this is that I've just had the situation where I used a saved Dynamic Object ( a Dynamic Ashtray with Dynamic Cigarettes as children ), to a new room, & it's been working fine for days. But today when I've gone to export my LVL file I get a warning saying that the Dynamic Cigarette Children are outside all rooms.

When I've ungrouped the Cigarette Children from the object the warning then dissapeers, but if I re-group the children to the object once more the warning comes back......Why ?, as like I said above it worked perfectly well as it was before in it's original room..

My second problem is along the same sort of lines, which is, I've found that if I copy & then mirror a Dynamic Object that has a Trigger attached to it the Trigger will no longer work unless I lift/ungroup it from it's parent. Why is this ?, as again, it worked perfectly well before I did this.

Well I hope that I explained these problems clearly ( I did my best ), & I would be greatfull for any advice with these 2 problems.....Cheers

Thanks for trying to help man, but having worked with MaxED for 4 years now I really don't think that the problem lies in this area, but thanks again anyway....
