We all have games we are looking forward to in the next few months, days, weeks (I'm counting the minutes till Call of Duty and XIII come out ). What about next year? Over at PC Gameworld.com, the reviewers have compiled a list. These are the "Most Wanted of 2004": Half Life 2, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Vampire: The Masqurade - Bloodlines, Bard's Tale, Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow, Painkiller, Rome Total War, Battlefield Vietnam, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, Doom III and Deus Ex: Invisible War. Check out the article, here.
Do you agree or disagree? Do you have some to add? The ones in italics are going to be definate purchases for me.
Enjoy!

2004 will also require a new PC

You wanna play Half-Life 2 at 1600x1200 right? The GeForce FX 5950 Ultra and GeForce FX 5700 series can help you out.

I am planning on buying Half Life 2 when it comes out.

Yes your right RedFrog. 2004 the year of the perfect games. Setting new standards for all games to come. Raising the bar is what the first quarter games will be about!

In my other PC had the 4600 TI, good solid card, no problems. Had the 5900FX Ultra came with this PC, sucked! Now I have the 9800Pro Radeon ATI, love it!

Read it, and I am telling you from experience the 5900 was a dog! Ask Sorrow she had the same card and the same problems with hers. Just beware.

Again Foe look at the model number that I am talking about.

BTW you can't change my mind, I go with what I am happy with, not with what others might recommend.
I have been very happy with all the nvidia cards that I have bought, from the TNT to GF Ti 4600.

Not trying to change your mind, and I saw the model number. I think the FX cards are not as good as the ones before, or my new one. Just some friendly advice. Buy whatever you like, your money

Finally we agree on something.
BTW have you tried the new drivers for nVidia and did you read that they got an increase of 30 percent performance by switching drivers. I am using them, but I haven't tested them myself. I am not really into that, if it works in the game without it being jumpy then I am happy. I am easy(too please).

When I installed the newest drivers for my GeForce2 TI, I had a "small" problem with RF.

Sometimes my controls are blocking and I can't move or shoot anymore. When this happens I cant even escape the game. So I have to wait untill it un-blocks (can u say that?) the controls or restart the computer when it doesnt work after 2 mins

Other games are working just great..so i think its a "bug" with RF. Thq doesn't support it anymore with patches, they could fix it.
I had the same problem with Freespace. It was also produced under THQ.

I'll try the 50. drivers then..if they release for windows98

I had the same problem when I was using WindowsME also. I had to use the drivers that my Card came with. I think it might be more of a combination or RF being outdated and older OS been outdated. After all Mr. Bill Gates wants use to upgrade to his/their newer OS.
