Quake 4 is on the way! |

QUAKE. The name has practically become synonymous with fast-paced action games since the original "Qtest" was released in February 1996, quickly rewriting the rules for PC gaming. GLQuake helped usher in the video card revolution. The modification scene exploded as would-be designers discovered previously unheard-of access to the game's code. And the release of Quakeworld in late 1996 arguably stands as one of the most important moments in the history of online gaming.
But it's now been nearly five years since the release of Quake III Arena, and the task of creating the next installment of the franchise has been entrusted to the team at Raven Software, creators of games like Star Trek: Elite Force, Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, and the Soldier of Fortune series. For years, there's been little revealed about the game as id Software soaked up most of the focus with DOOM 3. However, that's all changed, as this year's E3 gave us our first look at the next chapter: QUAKE 4.....

How many of you are planning on buying this game when it comes out? Are there any die-hard fans of Quake out there that are getting this one? If yes/no, why? |

I probably won't unless I here some story of it being the greatest game ever 
Quake 3 was awesome and i loved that game, but with the probably $90 pice tag, i wont buy it as soon as it's released, maybe once it goes down a bit though. |

If Gray Matter is still making it for Id it will be awesome - guess I'll be buying a new rig (wonders about mod tools & support issues) |

The Enemy Territory Quake Wars looks good too.It comes out in 2006 and will no doubt be on my list of buys.If you have not checked it out you should! |

Uhhh just the mention of it going back to its quake 2 routes.
Hopefully its going to have a once again brilliant single player with a just as good multiplayer game.
Im just hopeing its not too much like doom 3 and you wonder around in the dark most of the game |
