7,6? That is kinda a lame rating by Windows7.
Mines goes by 7,5, and overall 7,3 as I've shown earlier.
Compared to my graphics card, yours MUST hit the 7,9 with ease.
Goober...that's no suggestion. It's barely an "upgrade". Actually DDR3 barely has any benefits, other than it's more expensive and.....well it's more expensive. (AND IT SAVES A FEW WATTS...or milliwatts. Thuse produces less heat to OC)
DDR3 is a failed concept, just to pull more money out of your pockets.
Well, I always go with Mushkin RAM, but I don't really know how much better the Dominator, G.Skill etc are..and afterall you can't do much wrong with those unless you want to OC the crap out of your system. (for whatever reason..) |

Some good news for you all.
I managed to fix my icon problem.
Here is how I did it.
====Resolution====
I don't know how... It fixed it self 
Last night, I just randomly decided to re-arrange my icons in the order I wanted them. Went to bed, came back on this morning and they were all in the same place.
I did not hit F5, I did not install any retarded program.
Weird huh.. |

All that money on a GFX card to get 7.6.... the year old GF9700M GT 512Mb in my laptop scores 6.5 and happily plays anything out there... there is no need to have the latest and greatest anymore unless you've got too much money! |

And the card is not much faster then my 4870 which got 7,4 and that was the xXx version as well.
Spikey2005 that is exactly what happened to me when i had that issue it just started working after a few restarts.  |

You are saying a 5870 isn't much faster than your old 4870?
Or Win7 rating-wise?
Because that card SURELY is a LOT faster.
It is the best card out there and "even" beats a GTX295..while it draws almost only half as much power. A true giant :3

The windows 7 rating is not really that important to your system, FYI. Microsoft only put the rating system there so that it would test your computers performance based upon how well it performs operations regarding cpu speed, memory (ram) and graphics performance on windows it self. Your rating could be poor based upon a minor inpact of hardware you have but this does not stop you from running games in high detail. If I were you all, I would not worry at all about the rating system and worry what matters. How well my pc can handle games. Using something like 3D mark (I think thats the name) to test your graphics and cpu performances. Stuff the crappy rating system. |

It is still a pointless test though... what you going to do? gather around a nerd meeting in your basement and compare? Then discuss how to get those numbers up. Thats not how I would like to spend my evening . |

LMAO Ok yea...it's just a number.
I'm not the big guy of benchmarks. But I think the windows rating is a helpful idea, and realistically shows every person what is needed to upgrade and what is not. It doesn't even require to run some 3rd party benchmark that only spits out some fps or score values that barely anybody understands (without getting real deep into comparison) |
