I'm trying to get a L4Y based team going, I say team but more just a group of people to frag with... or against.
Anyway it's PS3 based, you can add me on the username "SkipRat420". Timezones won't really matter because I play random times during the day and stupid o'clock at night because I work nights, so days off I will be online overnight and other times I will be on during the day.
Games played are : ANY, I think I have all of the decent games out. I'm mainly playing COD:MW2 at the moment (obviously  )
So yeah, add me SkipRat420. Leave me a message saying you are from l4y too.

I will be upgrading to a Phenom II 965 BE later this month.
I only have a AMD Phenom x4 9650 because i got it for free when i bought my new motherboard from my brother |

That you are buying games for a console while having a nice machine that could also run it.
I really don't get it why so many people prefer to play FPS games on consoles. (imo they're noobs)
They ALL perform like poorly programmed bots.
If not, prove it.
Maybe it's because there is no such skill-gap like there is on PC?
(and that's why they forced matchmaking on MW2, huh?)
Imagine what if Red Faction was cross platform...Hell, I'd probably be an OK enemy only by using WASD+Numpad. (theyre using similar input). But keyboard+mouse? Hell, NOT a chance.
I love to have different skilled people in servers. There's always someone better than you, and there's always someone that plays poorly, but at least he's trying, and maybe even gets some support by the other players.
If everyone is playing at the same grade (like in MW2), where in the world is the fun?
(MW2 matchmaking stats are pretty fresh atm, don't expect to have it working perfectly by now)

I have the game on PC already
But i am getting the game for 360 because i have friends that play the game on it. |

Bad excuse.
I have friends that smoke, drink and do drugs. No such thing for me. (ok that's a diff thing, was just interesting to mention. )
I only do and get what I prefer. Not only because others also do or have it. 
And for consoles, I have a much deeper thinking anyway. You just buy and play, consequences are unimportant. |

Just for the hell of it, let me give you my opinion on what you have said.

A lot of people do prefer console games because of the "dumbed down-ness" of it all, most of the time there is no install, no fuss and you know its going to run with no problems.
I myself have a couple of decent gaming setups, crap, even my laptop will run games fairly well, but I still enjoy playing a console in the comfort of my living room on a decent size screen. I know you are going to come back with saying I could hook up my pc to a hdtv and sit on the sofa ect, but I don't live in my parents house and I'm not confined to my childhood bedroom ;-).

I really don't think they play like bots at all? This comment is totally random and wrong.
There is a skill-gap. Just because its using a gamepad, I don't get how the fact that everyone is using the same control input means there is no skillgap. Again this is totally random and again wrong.
If there's no skillgap how come I don't always win/loose?
The match making thing is kinda CENSORED I have to admit, but without the option to have dedicated servers and the simple fact of this is how COD has been on consoles from day one, I don't see it as a problem, start a lobby, invite friends, frag. Simple and effective.

WRONG again, at least on ps3/360. All ranks can play with each other, the matchmaking isn't the "truskill" based crap that Halo has (I hate halo for this).

I like pc gaming as much as most people on this site, but my friends happen to not be nerds with gaming systems, or the knowledge to even get started. Seems crazy to me and you, but a lot of people just AREN'T GEEKS!
Most of my friends and workmates play on consoles, so if I want to play them at stuff, I have to have a console too, I mean I would anyway tbh, but it helped with the desicision to buy a console in the first place.
I do have friends that play pc games too, so I kinda float between both.
Another huge factor for me was I have people over a lot, I cant be CENSORED with LAN parties all the time, so its nice to just sit and play games on my projector on a console. CENSORED around with pc's is no fun when half the people don't know CENSORED about computers in the first place.
So there ya go frog, there is my OPINION on the matter, I'm not a fanboy, I do prefer PC games overall, but I can be open minded. The only fanboy here is you with your incessent, misinformed console bashing in every thread regarding consoles. |

Anyway back on topic, does anyone here actually have a ps3 apart from me and mister vibes? I'll leave this thread open so froggy can reply then close it if I don't get an on topic reply in the next couple of days 
I might even have to start a thread just for Console VS PC discussion, so we can argue.
I say its argueing because that's what it is. Nothing wrong with not agreeing with someone else. This is what makes some of us human. |
