Having trouble trying to spiral a waterslide around a cone shaped brush.

A bit like a barber's pole

Reed dosen't like bending things in perfect spirals. The 1st couple of bend work
ok and then it starts to stuff up and break brushes up and turn into a mess.
Red limits breached?, Yep, (20,000 fces and its still going !)

Hmmmm

Enforce, are you trying to spiral one brush? It would be better if you split the water tube into sections and bend it 360 degree's. Then just copy and paste it like Doc Savage said and join it onto the end of your first tube, then your second and so on.

Also, before you bend the brush, it might be a good idea to use vertex mode to make the brush bank down, as a slide in a straight line. Then after you have bent the brush, you can use vertex mode to change the bank of the spiral if it is too steep.

Let me know how you get on with that one.

I worked out how to do it...

But after creating the brush and the splits and extruding it out a bit, I selected the underside and pulled it down a little to create a slide like I was suggested to do to the edge But I used face mode instead of vertexes.

So Here are the different effects I got...

You can get some very interesting effeects with the spiral if you play around with
the rotate brush.

If you rotate the brush tipping it up on its side and turn it about 45 degrees. Then
bend it 360.

You will end up with a circular Disc shape.. Sutiable for creating rounded futuristic Buildings & tower tops.

If you Rotate the brush until its all upside down, it will create an inverted circle cone
platform, good for create pits and depressions or sports stadium..

If you Rotate the brush 5-45 degrees up or down, then you get the spiral spring
effect... The lower the number the more compact the twist. the bigger
the numer the more stretched the twist.

To change the size of the twist, you can increase the length of the brush or redue the amount of bend.
