OK without going into many details of who and what members have asked/told me. Why does this happen while Pure Faction is not running.

^ Not my screen shot^
This is a screen shot somebody sent me. I've had the same experience. I removed Pure Faction and it all stopped. Why does the IP address 67.222.54.199 need to constantly access to your PC even when Pure Faction isn't running. I'm just curious. Player stats?
After this was brought to my attention and I blocked certain IPs and saw what was happening. I removed Pure Faction for a lack of trust (don't really need it any way, I don't cheat ). I'm just a little suspicious, that's all.
Just looking for answers, not accusing anybody of anything like adding a key loggers to the program.

BTW in case you are wondering why I didn't use my own screen shot, it's because in order to get one from my PC. I would need to reinstall Pure Faction, why I don't plan on until a get an answer that explains why this is happening or I really really need it to play Red Faction.

This is one message too much to me.

Other rumors about some relationship with philip and saber or nick (whatever) have been going around through the PM system.

I really have enough of this.
Avira AntiVir claimed it to be a trojan in the first place. I don't know if Avira tested it, or if the developer found a way to hide that alert. So..yeah. I don't care much really anyway.

Let's see what the people have to say about that pinging..
External servers should not ping your PC without your own doing. IF there is somebody to ping a machine, then it would be my PC pinging Pure Faction. Not vice versa ..even without request.
I guess my router firewall blocks it anyway.

What I am saying is that it does it even when I am not running Pure Faction. I would understand if it only did it when I started up Pure Faction or while it was running but all the time? Of course only if it's installed.
This is what my firewall suggests:

OK I just added 67.222.54.199 to the blocked lists. I don't have Pure Faction installed. Why am I getting a warning. II might be that I typed in the address bar so it might be a false alarm.
[edit] Yep that is what it was. I typed it on the web browser.

OK I typed in that address. I have it blocked on my firewall and now again I am getting this:

I DON'T EVEN HAVE PURE FACTION INSTALLED.

LOL so what does that mean. I have to release my IP address now to get rid of the warning, since I don't have Pure Faction installed?

Quoting digital_ruler
Another thing you can't rule out is the NM/FF website. The Faction Files affiliate button here on L4Y is loaded from that same server. The images I posted a few posts above are hosted on the same server.

OK Solved that problem. I removed the Affiliates picture Goober had given me and just uploaded to imageshack and now I am using theirs so the address won't be a problem any more.

I guess that pretty much answer my "why" question.
