Hey Guys..
Since FSW (Full Spectrum Warrior. 1.67 GB Download from filefront) is free now, I downloaded it and it installed just fine, However i tried to launch it just by double clicking on it and it thinks for a moment or 2 and does nothing. SO i tried it in Compatibility Mode under XPSP2, and it still does nothing. So i opened up my Task manager and i see (Launcher.Locked) 3 times ( I tired to launch it 3 times), Since it was not doing anything the first 2 times.
So my question is , is how do i get it to launch, or how do i get rid of the "Launcher.Locked" thing in my Task Manager?
Thanks |

When you say you tried it under Win 98 and Win XP, do you mean compatibility mode? What OS are you running? |

Bumping this thread because I downloaded the game and have the same issue. Running Windows 7 64-bit, tried running as admin as well as multiple compatibility options with no luck. And no, a cracked copy is not legal, the free version is supported by in-game advertisements. |

Tried running it on an XP/Vista machine if you have one?
Maybe build a VM and run it? Extreme lengths though |

I've got a netbook running XP. I'm not sure if it fits the games requirements, but I suppose I'll give it a go. |

Try a VM on your Windows 7 Machine.
>HERE<
Now just install an OS on it such as XP or Vista! |

A VM is a virtual Machine.
We use them at work, basically you download the VMware Player (which is free). Install it, then when you run it, you "add" a new VM, you specify the specs you want that "machine" to run with (Ram/CPU/GFX etc...) Only one worth adjusting is Ram normally as it pretty much gives you the best specs you can before hand.
you then need to install an OS. VMware player can handle most of that for you, just point it to a CD drive/ISO with your desired OS. It installs just like you doing a clean install on any PC with that. You can turn a VM on/off the normal way you would shut a PC down. |
