If RF:A sells well enough to warrant another sequel, odds are it's going to be more like RF:A than the first game. After RF:G and RF:A I don't expect the series to be going back to its roots any time soon.
But to be honest, that's probably because I had extremely low expectations ...
I wonder how Syfy (god i hate that name) is doing on their movie of RF3 ... i bet it gets scrapped

If they didn't want RF:G and RF:A to be compared to the original they should have picked a different name. As long as "Red Faction" is in the title I'm going to compare it to the original game.
