I was wondering if you can increase decal limit through moding or is it client sided? I would love to see more and not disappearing blood/bullet holes
Also more particle effects. I'm making a mod with increased blood. if you shoot the body allot the blood stops showing and smoke from bullet holes doesn't show after a while.
I would love to see an increase in those if its Client sided, PureFaction if any of you guys are reading *cough*

I know it DID in the betas, I can't remember if those changes made it into the final version though... It's possible that they had too large of an impact on performance.
Personally, I think there should be a cvar for max decals.

if you shoot a wall with a gun, you see a bullet decal. But after awhile they fade away because there is too many, same for blood and so on. Glass is a Vclip *correct me if I'm wrong* and that works the same way. and so does emitters to some aspect. So that performance doesn't reduce.
Most people have much better computers now and if you're still useing your computer before 2001 then your lucky. mine wasn't far off, it got motherboard parts blew up by lightning, overclocked and put though hell.
