I want to replace the jump action with crouch
I replaced the anim jump kf2 file with the crouch kf2 file, but everytime I press the space button, the player crouches while being launched in mid air o_0 How can I make it where the player will stay on the ground? |
and thats when the real mastermind - The Final Boss - took the stage!

Quoting Slayer_blood | Just remove the code
[Message] Frame = 9; String = "this->C_Jump( 7.5 );"; |
Indeed, however I suggest to remove every code from the anim properties so when "crouching" max will not emit the jump voice.
PS: Anyway, why you should have to replace jump with crouch? |

No problem mate.
Anyway, what other option you made for the crouch action? Sorry but I'm too curious.
PS: However the jump key is not a hold-pressed button as the crouch key, I mean that using that action you will press the jump key and the character will crouch for the animation lenght time, then he will stand again. |

Of course, I agree, I think that the shortest animation must be at least 7-8 frames so it can look good anyway.
I just wanted to point out that it's not the same, also becouse holding the jump key simply repeats the anim quickly; on the other side the crouch action is like running, it plays the animation untill it's end (or untill it's loop point) as long as you keep pressing the key, so using the jump action for the crouch anim will prevent the original stand-crouch smooth transition movement and the crouched stance will be completely "motionless", that's all.
