Is anybody else using Malwarebytes here and has visited purefaction dot com lately. I recently reinstalled the program on this PC and the site gets blocked. I took a screen shot of the error. I had asked a similar question at factionfiles.com and it seems the thread got censored... I mean deleted. 
 As of December 1, 2011 Malwarebytes has removed the block on purefaction.com.
... Not that I ever thought it was not safe to visit.  |

Avast is usually quite good I've used it for almost 10 years and in all that time I've never known it to once falsely accuse something. unlike many others. such as AVG and Mcafee which will do so quite often for no reason. |

So far, Avast, is the only antivirus that doesn't seem to eat up my CPU resources that I've tried. It's the reason why I've used it but a couple of years now. Both McAfee® & AVG slow down my PCs. Don't even get me started on Trend Micro™ and Norton and what happens when I've installed those.

That's correct, however it's not "true".
The link Frank posted before says that the IP was blacklisted for 90 days because it appeared in spam emails recently. Now, while I have no idea how that happened, it's hardly malicious. |

If in doubts, I think noclanfrank has the right to post about it. Even if it is false positive, you still can't be to sure. So thanks noclanfrank for the heads up. If its false then you don't need to hide the evidence, now you're just making people more unsure. |

Because if I was able to post in purefaction.com I would have. I tried getting an answer at factionfiles since both sites are basically related and same people are basically involved. Apparently the reason they removed my post there was because it wasn't a factionfiles question?
I was in no way trying to accuse anybody of running a MALICIOUS site. I posted in their forums first. Hopefully malwarebytes removes the IP address from their blocked list and this problem is resolved.  |

Where is your proof that it belonged to a spammer? Not saying it's not out there (I had a bit of a search on the IP and did find something). Not posting solid proof would be, uh, unprofessional, as you like to call it? But I would like to address some other issues I had with your post.

The posts were deleted for a completely different unrelated reason (assuming, the PF-malicious post may have been taken into consideration but I highly doubt that the topic was deleted purely because of that). The posts NCF made at FF were not in it's own separate topic. His post got caught up in other issues that someone else decided to voice.
As for the deletion of said topic; Pointing the finger at Goober and saying that anything FF related is his responsibility (almost) is very unprofessional of you. The site is owned by Goober, yes. The site is also managed (admin'd, if you like) by Digi, nick and Munkey (who has VERY limited involvement (correct me if i'm wrong)). Now, I know for a fact that Goober wasn't the one who deleted it. Which leaves either nick or digi. I'm going to go ahead and assume that it wasn't digi since his interest in RF (PF included) has been very low for a long time now, and his 'care-factor' isn't exactly high right now. Which leaves nick, who is a close online friend of yours, who has been known to stand up for you on countless occasions. To me it was the 'easy route' out. For a bunch of people that have such self acclaimed argumentative skills, you seem to be completely oblivious to the real issues surrounding RF.

It's a blatant lie. You wanted your message to be seen by the public (yes, so you can assure people that PF and its related websites/IP's are not malicious, but also quite obviously as a dig at certain people). Don't hide that fact, because if you DIDN'T, and you're such the smarty-pants that you claim to be, you'd have found NCF's email, or other means of contact quite easily. Unprofessional.

I cannot believe this part. Such an outrageous thing to say. Firstly, Goober has, and always will be associated with PF and its development team. He was part of the team from when it first started. Albeit, an ideas man, still an integral part of the TEAM. Second, Goobers lack of involvement with PF is all his own choice, as far as I know (don't mean to drag you into this Chris but please do correct me if I am wrong). Lastly, for you to come out and boldly say that Goober lacks professionalism is ridiculous. You stating that publicly is really showing off your immaturity and lack of professionalism. Are you sure that's how you want your latest 'PF v4' image to be portrayed as?

When and why must we (L4Y in particular?) adhere to your specific list of rules and guidelines? If the PF development team had any sort of realistic thinking going on they would have designated somebody as a representative to spread word and answer any FAQ's or debates on the matter at other community hubs. ie; L4Y, voltz etc. Shows your lack of care for anyone's opinions or suggestions for/of PF. Actually just to prove a point, go to the new PF forums and make a post which includes the word 'voltz', the language filter changes it automatically to 'flame'. This is a prime example of how Philip in particular treats and thinks of the entire remaining RF community. He thinks it's hilarious.
The fact that you come to a community to post regarding PF's status (or send a mule to post for you) shows that you do care, but in saying that, laughing at and insulting their individual community isn't winning them over. Unprofessional? Surely.

If your anti-virus program tells you that you have infected files on your computer, what do you do? Ignore it and pretend they're (the files) are fine and hope for the best? No. You do something about it. This topic is raising awareness, getting third party opinions and factual information regarding the issue. Sure, it's a false positive, but again, you're not doing yourself any favors by coming here and insulting their community. Unprofessional.
I can understand why you want this thread deleted, since its giving all these negative opinions of your pride and joy that you named PF, but what will it achieve? I'm sure all the people that actually give a rats behind about PF here have already seen it, and made their opinions.

Quite a disrespectful end to your statements, I guess. The least you could do is show an ounce of respect. This site has never appealed to you because you were never part of the mod/map RF community, but it has appealed to so many other players, including members of your PF development team, for good reason. I respect NCF even though we have our differences but to rule out your communication with him and his website (well, lets face it, L4Y pretty much belongs to Frank now) is absolute garbage. Your trimming PF's potential success more and more each day.

PF has one genuine developer, which is digi. And yes, he doesn't chase the community anymore. He learnt his lesson. However PF does need a Bashiok, quite badly.
But enough ranting. I felt the need to dissect your post since it was full of crap. It wasn't a dig. Merely raising awareness since you and nick have banned me from FF, PF forums, PF irc and your prized !hitsounds servers (uh, firewalled, if i'm correct Philip?). This forum, using this particular account is my only way of contacting you two since you're so secretive. Plus L4Y's registration system is broken as the captcha images won't load. Perhaps something to let Garner know about?
edit: heh, since this post i've been unbanned from PF forums + PF irc but i'm still on Philips hate list for his server. Still banned at FF though which is a little strange, considering I was unbanned then rebanned for the post in NCF's picture (above). |

^Thanks for posting that for him. He is more than welcome to post here as long as he refrains from starting flame wars. I mean all you have to do is look at Izzy's to see what I am talking about. Then again maybe he was just angry and didn't really mean to call his web site members and I quote "Morons".
He even went as far as to called another member of the team "Useless.
The PM system seems to work. I got a PM from inf3rnus from another account. 
The part of the PM system that seems to be broken is when you click "When a new post is made in this topic... send me a PM". Then again maybe you mean the PM at purefaction.com? |

I reported it to Google, not for just for my sake but for everyone. It has not been blocked by them yet so it may only be false.
