Hello! I'm Ric, I've been playing Redfaction since September 2001 and making maps since January 2002. Redfaction is a classic game to me and many of my family members, It's a game that never gets old and never gets boring, Even today there is no comparison!
In early 2012 We(My dad and my brothers) decided it's time to revamp and customize some of our favourite Classic RF maps using our own style of mapping.
Starting with the lobby and aiming to go through the entire list of Death-match maps we hope others will enjoy the maps and continue to play for many more years to come.
I would like to ask all the RedFaction players to feel free to post your ideas and your suggestions below. I take allot of user input into consideration when designing levels and if your suggestion makes it into a level you will be credited as deserved.

Today I got a new router from my ISP, Insisting I update it. It has forced me to change my static IP address to another static IP. How ever I still have the problem of people finding me with the server browser. I have sent Rol_k a PM about this, Hopefully he will fix it for me once more...for the last time..lol. If anyone that knows Rol_k out side of L4U and can let him know I sent him a PM then I'd really appreciate that. In the mean time I'm very sorry to say my server will not show on the server browser. Until this is fixed or I find somewhere to host it temporarily.
-Again I'm very sorry for this. In the mean time I will continue working on bringing more maps out and I want to thank-you all for your support and your kind comments. |

Ric, I can host your server for you on my 100Mb line if you wish. Just drop me a message on MSN and we can set it up to how you want it. It should not be any problem. I leave my computer on 24/7 and my connection does not get tied to people downloading over the Local Area Connection. That is because my dads computer is broken . |

Your dad finally overloaded his pc with porn now he has 100mbps? sounds about right
The servers back up now. I've upgraded the router that's why the IP address changed. Rol_k was kind enough to fix it for me.
How ever I was thinking about your offer Spike but this way is allot more convenient. I'm always near by it which lets me have a good view of what's going on. Some people seem persistent on cheating so I'm able to ban them allot quicker. I'm also able to update the files instantly. Nobody uses the PC it runs on so it's not like it needs restarting every so often. + if your on a game and i need to remote desktop It's just way more convenient this way for what I'm working on, but thanks allot for the offer.
Do you run your vent off your pc now btw? If not you should.  |

Nah my vent runs off a dedicated server at multiplay.co.uk. It is hosted in London.
Has 50 slots available.
As for the RF server thing, I can see where you are coming from. Soon I will be running 2 computers so if you can hang tight until I have bought my new PC, then there should not be a problem.
My new PC has not been ordered yet because I am busy saving up for it. I will be getting a Core i5 3.2Ghz processor, 16GB DDR3 PC3 14400+ Quad Channel, Not sure on which Graphics card to go for but Ive got my eye on the high end ATi cards. Going for water cooling all the way if possible. |

Released the final version of the Office Lobby. Taking it on USB to my dads & little brothers house right now. we're having a bbq then i'll stick this map on the server.. mmmh burgers.
Anyway just wanted to say, I'm working on getting more maps out. I've been a bit busy recently. I also wanna thank Goober again for hosting the awesome factionfiles.com

 Working on the maps again!
Also have a server up for them now. Fast and Stable Called The Good Old Days.
Expect more of the same mapping style with the same old silly humor
Currently working on Badlands. Should have that out soonish.
So a reminder; We have The Lobby with the chopper, Installation with the Rocket. Waste plant with the trap door...
What next i hear you wonder... well that's for you to find out and you will be surprise yet again
