You can be killed by being shoot in the legs, but I just wanted to correct that RF have 3 different location damage & ratio (Head, Body & Arms and Legs). I tweaked them in Xmod in many ways that also aim reduced damage taken in legs, but even balanced there toughness with player model size "class" including Heavy Mercs implemented in multiplayer.
