I have to say. finding red faction and this site, slowly swindling down to its last days is kind of depressing. Though Im happy to say, there still are some people playing red faction still.
alas, nostalgic memories kick in of the better days, playing on saturday nights on packed custom severs ( franks) and doing clan wars ,talking mad trash to everyone.
The reason I always come back here and to red faction is because i dont think i get the same satisfaction with new games today. and i cant figure out why. is it because red faction was more close knit? idk.
anyone else here still lurking and feel like this?

Nope, not many people around anymore. Stu still has his server up, I think?
A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

Naraku I don't know if you will ever see this, but yes.
I check on the site once in a blue moon just to see things, but maybe that is more of a nostalgia factor than anything else. Lately I've been more active in the drag racing scene around DFW and OKC than I have been with computer related things. Another time and expense hobby.

Yes, There are a few servers running still. The "RedFaction.info" server is running a v1.2 server since 2003.
Hope all is well Lace!

Hi Stu
Life takes some unexpected turns sometime, and one way or another we have to deal with it. Trying to figure out why RF won't run on my new laptop. If I get it to work, I will visit your server one day 😊
