You need to let the router know what port to use. It would help if you told us what router you were using. If it's linksys, go to your router web address, go to applications and gaming, in port range type in the port you want to use, then save it.

The address of the router depends on a few things... if you are using NAT, then the router will have an assigned DHPC address for you.

eg. if your IP address is 192.168.0.2 then its a good chance that your routers IP is 192.168.0.1.

Easy way to find out is...

1) Go to Command Prompt
2) Type: tracert www.google.com

You should get a list of results like...

---------------------------------------------

Tracing route to www.google.com

over a maximum of 30 hops:

01 1158 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.0.1
02 432 ms 435 ms 301 ms IP Removed
03 461 ms 446 ms 464 ms IP Removed
04 617 ms 573 ms 655 ms IP Removed
05 586 ms 587 ms 643 ms IP Removed
06 619 ms 591 ms 641 ms IP Removed
07 621 ms 664 ms 534 ms IP Removed
08 299 ms 316 ms 375 ms IP Removed
09 433 ms 456 ms 538 ms IP Removed
10 593 ms 589 ms 564 ms IP Removed
11 695 ms 638 ms 521 ms IP Removed
12 316 ms 392 ms 424 ms IP Removed
13 508 ms 537 ms 592 ms IP Removed
14 670 ms 688 ms 666 ms IP Removed
15 337 ms 316 ms 302 ms IP Removed

Trace complete.

---------------------------------------------

In the example above the high-lighted red line is the routers IP.

SO in a browser windoes type in: http://[Your Router IP Address]

With a bit of luck you should be asked for a username and password.

Isn't a wmp54g a wireless adapter? What type of router do you have?

Ya, the WMP54G is a wireless pci card, it's just the network interface on your computer. Where does it magically connect to? You either have something like a WRT54G for it connecto to or you are stealing your neighbors internet, in wich case you wont have acces to the router and you wont be able to open ports.

Frank will post his Linksys router tutroial
Actually, here, Beast already posted it too if you look towards the top of the page. And like I said, read the manual.
Linksys Router Port Setup
It's really very simple and not worth talking you through. You might have problems if the default password has been changed though (rarely a problem, it seems everyone likes the password "admin" )
