I'm working on a mappack for people who have some time to download it It's now like 2.157.524 kb, so that's like 2,15 gb... I hope I'm able to upload it at a server Btw, all maps are in 1 VPP file so no max maps problems
Snufver
If you unpack the VPP you'll get 4311 induvidial files!

I doubt if they would allow that large of a file to be hosted here since all the files are probably already here to begin with. Also the use of soooooo much bandwidth would be an issue. It might seem like a good Idea but I think you should just keep it to yourself and it won't fly at this site.
Try file planet of any other of those commercial web site.
Better yet, why don't you make a tutorial explaning how to you did it and upload that in word format or HTML. This way people would know how to do it and include the maps that they want in them. |

Besides the number of maps, the multifolder is also said to have a limit of how big it can be. I think it is about 1.3 Gb. And, you might forget to upload that map-pack here with the current storage space we have |

Don't want to prove you wrong Lace but I play RF with this amount in my multi folder:

Oh and that maps folder contains about 800mb of maps I haven't placed in 1 vpp yet and didn't want to make my multi folder any more of a mess.... |

How can you prove I am wrong when I didnt make a statement? I only said that "the multifolder is also said to have a limit of how big it can be. I think it is about 1.3 Gb."
I don't care if it is 1.3, 1.5, 2.0. 2.5 or no limit at all. |

My bad.....Thought you meant it only held that much...In any case it depends on your OS for some odd reason.....With WinXP Home which is on the pc I am on now you can hold numerous maps in your multi folder...But with WinXP Pro you need to seperate map rfls into multi folder and sound files and textures in the single folder... |

Lace is completely correct Sobe. There is a size limit on the multi folder as well a limit on the amount of vpps, after which you will start to get errors.
I can't remember what the limit is either but I have exceded it in the past.
So unless this large VPP is under a certain size too it won't work with RF.
btw what's with the screenshots sobe? Neither of them show the size of your multi folder.
Ahh, sorry didn't see that. Limit must be above 1.88 GB |

Yes I can see ALL my maps in the server list.....Oh and if you look at the first pic it is showing the size of my multi folder....2.70gb
That is the total size....And the maps folder I have inside the multi folder contains around 800mb of maps I have not compiled into 1 vpp yet... |

So RF is able to read files that are contained within another folder inside your multi folder? That has never worked for me. Occasionally mappers will zip or rar their files within their own folder. I always have to remove the map before RF will see it. |
