Well I really want to get PS3 AND Xbox 360, but thats gonna cost me a bomb. The nintendo I might get, im not sure its hard to decide right now.  |

If i get the revolution then i will have owned every single Nintendo console but it looks like Xbox 360 will be tkaing this away all it really depends on if it is backwards compatible whihc looks doubtful. and i dont want all my GC games to got ot waste |

I doubt I'll be picking up an xbox 1.5, I'll just spend that cash at xmas on a spanky new graphics card for my pc.
I'll buy the PS3 and Revolution when they come out. |

Yeah they all look cool
Still i think the xbox will have better games though, but with the new nintendo console they are letting u download lots of old Nes Snes and N64 games for free on the actual console lol, would be cool |

Well I've always been with Sony.. had PS1 and PS2.. so..
But if the Xbox 360 is backwards compatible, i'll definitely get that one.
But also, if PS3 is backwards compatible...
Multiplayer gaming is no use to me being on 56k |

Every console WILL be backwards compatable. Miscrosoft released information that the 360 will indeed play Xbox games. Also, PS3 will play both PSone and PS2 games. As you all know, Nintendo is taking backwards compatability a little further. You will be able to play any nintendo console game EVER made. |

thats such a good idea for nintendo. because all there systems always suck in some way. but they usualy have a few really good games on the system. so now u can just buy the new one, and all the GOOD games over the years haha. but yeah, that will keep them alive in this battle! (we all know it boils down to P vs X. im shooting for PS3. always been a sony fan |

Following earlier indications that the Xbox 360 will only be backwards compatible with some Xbox games, Microsoft has admitted that existing software will need to be recompiled before it can be run on the new console.
The problem, it says, is down to hardware incompatibility - since the current Xbox uses an Intel processor, but the 360 will use IBM's PowerPC architecture, while NVIDIA's graphics solution is being replaced with an ATI one.
As many commentators have pointed out over the last few months, this means backwards compatibility problems. The solution Microsoft has reached is apparently to recompiled current-gen Xbox games so that they can be played on the 360. First on the list, it says, are the best-selling Halo titles.
The news has raised more questions than it answers, however, as it suggests that game titles may need to be modified somehow before players can use them on their new consoles - but Microsoft has denied that it will ask players to pay for new versions of the software.
"At launch, Xbox 360 will be backward compatible with the top Xbox games," Xbox PR manager Michael Wolf told GamesIndustry.biz today. "Our goal is to have every Xbox game work on Xbox 360. You will NOT need to purchase a new 'version' - your original games will work on Xbox 360."
Sony and Nintendo have already confirmed that their next-gen consoles - the PS3 and Revolution - will play all the games in their respective back catalogues, offering consumers a huge choice of titles at launch. |

as far as i know xbox 360 will have the same type of disk as blu ray, but blu ray is sony so it is not the same idea.
And both ps3 and xbox are going to have wireless controlers, but xbox also wire cords as well. But from all the pics i have seen i cant see any controler ports on the ps3
nintendo needs to come up with kick as NEW games like they did when they owned |
