To start off, let's make things clear:
Post count is NOT important.
I don't know where some people get the ridiculous idea that it's somehow connected to some sort of 'status', because it's not. The post count as well as the rank are forum luxuries, there for statistics freaks and so on 
Most of you who feel it is important have undoubtedly noticed that since the new L4Y system came online, your post counts have decreased.
There is one simple explanation:
Topics have not been deleted.
This version of the levels4you.com site is an entirely new system. It is not backwards compatible with the old one (at least not in an easy way).
Hence the forums started out empty.
Topics deemed important were moved over from the old site to the new one (as stated above, not with a simple method) so there would be enough useful information in the new forums as well as some general topics to entertain you lot 
I hope this epxlains in a clear manner why your post count has decreased and why you should stop complaining about it, if it weren't for Garner being such a great guy, we'd all have started at 0.  |

I don't really care too much. However, I have noticed that users with 3,000+ posts get around 300+, users with 4,000+ posts get 400+, users with 2,000+ posts get 200+, etc.
Is there an explanation for that?! lol |

See, DG, this is where you are wrong [as usual], I have no problem with the reduction, though, I don't see the point in you having actually dropped the posts.
Peoples posts did actually mean something to them, where you are too high on your horse, the post count did show their addiction(?) to the site, and you just being you have to decide to CENSORED things up by lowering post counts.
Lowering morale, blahdy blah.
You just don't have a clue, as you never have. |

And as usual RHF is also wrong!
DG is so high up on his horse that he had nothing to do with the post count change. He's above it all... considering I designed it all.

Yeah, being foreign limits your ability to comprehend what's being said.
Garner, I can't see why it wouldn't have been so hard to bring the tables across for the users data to the new site/database? |

So, did the rank system go away as well (ie member, major, general). I know it's only psychological, but getting map editing advice from someone that's obviously has been around awhile (ie NCF) is different from getting it from New member with 2 posts. Maybe it's just my military mind. |

LOL what was that. Now we staff members have access to the word filter and guess what word I just added to it. Having staff access to the word filter is great. I may speak a lot of faul language but when it comes to remembering it to add it to the filter, that another thing.Johnny_Suave thanks for the help buddy. I seriously thought I had added that word and a lot of others. I guess when I remembers others and/or see more of them on the site I can and will add them to the filter program. Thanks Garner  |

Hey man I need time to get the ranks in order and at what numbert they change. But as stated above, post counts don't count....Didn't I have like over 7,000.
I just need to come up with a number to match the ranks now.  |
