Hi all I was wondering if its legal to post 3d studio max 4.2 demo on Levels 4you. Red Faction Download section.

the file is around 500 MB

It would only be a demo version.

I would look in a Read-Me that should come with it whether Autodesk allows their demos to be freely distributed across the web or if it's only certain websites. If you can't find it, send them an email asking. I don't see why they wouldn't, but some software companies don't like their files being distributed, even the demos. Always safe to check first.

As for L4y accepting it, we would because it's a publically released demo that Autodesk Inc. released.

But like I said, first check and see if there is any limits on distributing the package.

3ds max hmm hmm does not know how to use that program i know how to use inventor is any one knows what that is or adt lol hmm should learn how to use 3ds max i gues lol if ya wana get the demo cd's just ask for them from autodesk they will mail them to you for free if my meory servs me corect.

As for getting the demo from the makers that is not posible as they now have version 6 or even 7 now.
