Post 1 / 1 after dling a new map how do you get it into red faction? i havnt tried yet but im pretty sure i wotn figure it out by myself! help please. PM me or reply on here! thnx red faction     snail_master   Posted 13th Jul 2005 1:29pm L4Y Member Post 8 / 83 If you want a MP map to show up in redfaction then put the maps .vpp in the "multi" folder in side usermaps, if you want a single player level then put the .vpp in the "single" folder which is also in usermaps. to run single player maps from this location start redfaction using "redfaction.exe" go into setup, click on this misc tab and in the optional command line box type -level levelname multi player levels will show up automatically I knew there was a reason for my grotesque appearance     mad_ferrit   Posted 13th Jul 2005 1:46pm L4Y Member Post 711 / 1510 Yeah, normally the maps will be compressed in *.rar format, meaning you will need a program called WinRar to extract the map files. Search for it at www.download.com Now inside the *.rar archive will be a mapname.VPP and this is the level file that needs to be placed into your Multi Folder as snail_master decscribed above.
