The galaxy is currently at peace, no-one has yet passed the 300 turn 'limit' enabling them to be attacked.
A few more hours worth of turns however and the game will begin properly 
Alliances seem to have been forged, although at this stage its impossible to tell whether certain alliances will be friendly or hostile towards each other.
If you want to join an alliance but dont know which one you want to join, post a message in the alliance recruitment forum.
One thing is for certain, Evil Empire [EE] and Martian Union [MU] are two alliances aiming to make their mark on the galaxy. Almost identical points scored and already 44 planets between them these two look like the early heavyweights.
However do they have the military muscule to backup their agressive expansion? The next 24 hours will start to determine the answer to that...
Individual players shouldn't be counted out either, Zannie (currently in position 7) shows that you dont need an alliance to stay in the top 10!

Planetary Conquest is a text/image based game played through your browser.
You assume the role of a planetary govenor of a race that has just stretched your legs into space for the first time.
Colonise new planets, wage war on other players in an attempt to take control of their planets, crippling their empire planet by planet, whilst strengthening your own.

Yay thanks to my early morning wake up, we got 24 planets now  GOD i'm way tooo addicted to this game !
[MU] Martian Union has 106 mil points by the time im posting this
[EE] Evil Empire has 102 mil points by the time im posting this
Wonder who has an army to match it's points  |

EE has 1 less member than MU however.
MU : 106m / 5 = 21.1m avg per member
EE : 102m / 4 = 25.5m avg per member

An Enemy Scout Mission to "Planet Name" (xx,xx) was foiled as the enemy scouts were discovered and persued by our forces.
We inflicted 23 losses upon the enemy before they managed to escape.
Is this classified as an attack as this could be one of the first ones  |

nope, thats just a scout mission sent by someone else to find out the status of a planet. it just so happened it was your planet.
Those are not classified as attacks |

Bytheway, Garner, maybe you could make the union commenting board a bit...better, instead of letting us post 5 posts and the others getting deleted, maybe make that after every 10 posts in a row, it makes a page, like the forums do with topics... just a thought  |

mwhahaha your all goin down!
i just claimed 3 new planets, and built some of my special ships with plasma missles, they are at almost everyone of my planets, so watch out, the current overall number of my special"killer" ships is over 5000, so watch out your turns comming  |
