Is it just me, or is there a lack of creativity in the MP2 mod community at the moment? I find that its all Matrix, this GunKata, that, ooh look a zombie! Thats creative!  ... There just isn't any original ideas out now or in the near future. The most exciting mod/tc in the cdc is 'Blood Will Tell', but the name is bound to be in breach of some copyright law... AND! 'Only The Strong Survive 2' is going to be on source instead of the outdated MP2 engine. Is it all doomed?...  |

Okay, maybe RougeOps, but StreetFighter is already a franchise. (I've heard rumours that you won't be able to use a Katana in RougeOps though, so I'm not too excited.) What I mean is, why aren't there any original stories about that aren't already franchises or just another Cinema clone? |

-Well, whatever the case, im saying that the MP2 mod community is not exactly dead yet. After the release of the new, high-quality, mods (Hall of mirrors, Street Fighter ((IF they dont get booked for copyright infringment)) Rogue ops, and Cinema) Then, I will say, the MP2 mod community will probably die. The only releases are probably only going to be small, non-innovative, mods.
But, until then, there are lots of MP2 mods that are in the making that are innovate. Enjoy the ride |

Well if there were people willing to make a mod or machinima, I would gladly provide a script, or setting or something? And I'm not exactly a brilliant modder, I can do skins, sounds, particles, menu screens and music, but thats about it. So mr.Aztec (seeing as you obviously know so much about my mod skills) I would do something if I could. |

I WOULD DO SOMETHING IF I COULD. Anyway, this isn't a question of how bad a modder I am (coz I'm crap) it's a question of lack of creativity. Did anybody download the 6shots beta? That was original! I visited the author's site and he's like an art student or something, and he applies that to his mod. Nobody else does that, it's all just Cinema clones. Now you see where I'm getting at?  |

No one implied about your modding skills it was a simple reply to a simple question. Not all mods are Cinema clones, MI:Newdawn for example. Creativity takes time and to be honest not many are left to take the time with MP2. Its easier to rip Cinema and add a new weapon or skin. Not very creative I know, but with a few decent TC's coming out shortly you should wait until then. Just ignore the tweak mods, if people stop downloading them, people with stop making them  |

MP2 has some serious limitations - all modding is getting a whole lot harder, but especially Single Player TCs that aren't just tweaking the default game. When modders need to spend four years before getting something releasable just be happy to get anything. There was a big jump between MP1 & MP2, even MI: Nerw Dawn had to draw the line and release instead of continually improving the improvments. *G* |

Man....wish I knew how to mod. I have the Max Payne Tools and all but I have no clue how to start......Anyone got some advice for me? Any info would be helpful.  |

Well if ur motivated it should be a good thing if you start to to either script or start reading tutorials.
I'm just a scripter not an good one bt hey you goto start somewhere maybe the new TC's will blow some new live into the MP2 community
They really should try to convert mods because there are not alot of "Matrix" mods around.
Not that i mind but MP is still stronger in modding. |

Hey guys, thanks for the feeback to my mod Blood Will Tell.
I have to agree, there is a Playstation game called Blood will tell bu that has nothing to do with my mod, a book out of 1914 inspired my to call the mod Blood WIll Tell and that was even before the game was announced. its juts that you know it also where going to change site url soon and then im releasing the first official public level shots
And to clear up your minds, HoM was origionally found by Mister Anderson and later on taken over by Rico, and this guys is giving comments about the community  and im not isulting.. |
