Levels4You

Launched on 28th Nov 2000, Levels4You (L4Y) was built by Roger “Garner_1” Garner (I know, original right?) in order to distribute Descent 3 and Delta Force 2 maps.

With the help of many volunteer moderators, hundreds of thousands of files across over 20 different games were added to the site over the years as it expanded.

Run as a hobby, the site never made any profit (or even covering the server costs...) and that, plus a lack of time after changing jobs, on 21st March 2011 L4Y was closed with the large collections of files we had collected over the years distributed to other community sites.

L4Y remained online but as it was originally written for the PHP4 era, maintaining it over a quarter century later had firmly entered "this entire thing needs rewriting" territory. With the various PHP vulnerabilities of October 2026 the decision was taken to finally close the doors on the old site.

In 2026 L4Y is still involved in games, just this time they're made by Roger.
